At Aloe Health we specialise in the ‘Tung’ style of acupuncture, which is best used in a clinical application (treatment of various ailments, conditions, and injuries). The Tung style of Acupuncture is known for utilizing a small number of points and achieving rapid and lasting results. Unlike traditional Chinese Acupuncture, it focuses on using distal points, which means the points are often located far away from the area being treated. This technique is based on the principle of mirroring, where points on the opposite side of the body are selected to treat a specific condition. Tung style acupuncture is particularly renowned for its efficacy in treating pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and internal disorders such as gastrointestinal issues.

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or with the help of IUI / IVF, treatments target and help to optimise health no matter what stage you are at in your journey. The goal of Fertility / Prenatal Acupuncture is to promote optimal health for both the mother and the developing baby, as well as to help prepare the mother’s body for labour and delivery.

During pregnancy, hormonal changes can lead to a variety of symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, back pain, and anxiety. Fertility / Prenatal Acupuncture can help alleviate these symptoms by promoting relaxation, reducing inflammation and improving circulation. The pelvic floor refers to a group of muscles that provide support to the pelvic organs, including the bladder, uterus, and rectum. When these muscles become weak, damaged, or tight, it can lead to a variety of symptoms such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, sexual pain/dysfunction, and pre/postnatal challenges.

By targeting specific points, Pelvic Floor Acupuncture aims to alleviate symptoms and improve the functioning of the pelvic floor muscles. It can help to relieve pain, decrease muscle tension, enhance blood flow, and promote healing.

It is a popular treatment for women experiencing postnatal challenges.

Cosmetic Acupuncture involves the insertion of extra-tiny Acupuncture needles into specific points on the face and body to improve the skin's appearance. This ancient Chinese practice increases blood flow to enhance the collagen and elastins that are buried deep within the skin, resulting in holistic rejuvenation.

Cosmetic Acupuncture aims to reduce the signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, sagging skin, and dull complexion. It can also help improve acne, rosacea (redness), dark circles, and uneven skin tone. The treatment is customized for each individual and may include additional techniques like facial massage, Cupping, or Gua Sha to enhance the results.

Unlike other cosmetic procedures like Botox or fillers, Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural and holistic approach that focuses on restoring balance and promoting overall health. Acupuncture treats tissue deeper than Botox injections, and reduces the frequency and intensity of the signs of aging. Fewer wrinkles = less botox (or none at all). It is considered a safe and gentle alternative for those seeking a non-surgical and non-toxic method to achieve a more youthful and radiant appearance.

Please ensure you’ve waited 3 weeks (min) after any fillers or Botox before receiving this treatment.

Buccal Massage and Sculpting Face Lifting is a rejuvenating facial treatment that focuses on toning and tightening the muscles in the face and neck area. This non-invasive procedure utilizes a unique combination of massage techniques and manual lymphatic drainage to stimulate blood circulation and promote collagen production, thus enhancing the overall appearance and vitality of the skin.

Massaging of the cheeks, jawline, neck, and intraoral area (where necessary) help to relax facial muscles and reduce tension, while also encouraging the drainage of excess fluids and toxins. The sculpting part of the treatment involves using specific massage techniques to contour the facial features, providing a more defined and lifted appearance.

Buccal Massage and Sculpting Face Lifting offers numerous benefits, including improved blood circulation, increased skin elasticity, reduced puffiness, and minimized wrinkles and fine lines. It also aids in relieving tension headaches and alleviating jaw pain caused by clenching or grinding teeth.

Overall, this innovative facial treatment is a natural and effective way to achieve a more youthful and rejuvenated complexion, without the need for invasive procedures or lengthy downtime.

When used for TMJ Disorder and bruxism, Acupuncture focuses on specific points around the jaw, face, neck, and head. It aims to reduce muscle tension, improve blood flow, and relieve pain associated with these conditions.

Lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage technique that aims to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for eliminating waste and toxins from the body. This technique involves gentle, rhythmic movements to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid and enhance its transport through the lymphatic vessels. By promoting the removal of excess fluid, toxins, and bacteria from the tissues, lymphatic drainage can effectively reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain associated with conditions such as lymphedema, fibromyalgia, and post-operative recovery.

Apart from its healing benefits, lymphatic drainage can also boost the immune system, improve skin health, and promote overall detoxification. It is a gentle therapy that provides relief and rejuvenation, leaving individuals feeling relaxed, revitalized, and with improved well-being.

For best results, Lymphatic Drainage should be combined with Acupuncture. Please communicate with your practitioner if you would like to opt out of the Acupuncture needling.

Fire Cupping involves placing cups on the skin and creating a vacuum effect through suction to stimulate blood flow, relieve tension, and enhance circulation. During a Fire Cupping session, small glass cups are placed on the skin and suction is created by the negative pressure of the heated air as it cools. The cups are left in place for several minutes, creating a vacuum effect that pulls the skin and underlying tissues upward. This can cause temporary bruising or redness, but is not painful.

Cupping is often used as a detoxification treatment, and for best results is combined with Acupuncture. Please communicate with your practitioner if you would like to opt out of the Acupuncture needling.

Tui Na massage is a therapeutic Chinese massage that involves a combination of gentle stretching, kneading, and pressing techniques applied to specific acupoints on the body to stimulate circulation and balance energy flow. Unlike other forms of massage, Tui Na is a fully clothed treatment.

Gua Sha involves scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to promote healing and wellbeing. The technique is used to stimulate circulation, relieve tension, and promote lymphatic drainage by gently scraping the skin in specific patterns. It has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, respiratory issues, digestive problems, and more. It can also be used as a facial rejuvenation treatment to improve skin tone and texture, reduce wrinkles, and enhance overall skin health.

For best results, both Tui Na Massage and Gua Sha should be combined with Acupuncture. Please communicate with your practitioner if you would like to opt out of the Acupuncture needling.

Bloodletting involves withdrawing a small amount of blood from specific points on the body to eliminate toxins, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve internal harmony.

According to TCM principles, an imbalance or stagnation of Qi (vital life force) and blood can lead to various illnesses and ailments. By removing stagnant or excess blood, bloodletting aims to regulate the circulation of Qi and blood, promoting the body's natural healing abilities.

Bloodletting is commonly used to treat conditions such as: migraines, sequelae of stroke (Bell's hemiplegia or hemiplegia), intracranial hypertension (blood clots under the skull causing migraines), varicose veins, car accident sequelae, high blood pressure, allergies, skin disorders, menstrual problems, and joint pains. It can help enhance circulation, clear blockages, and restore the flow of Qi and blood throughout the body.

Please advise your practitioner if you have any communicable diseases prior to receiving treatment.
